Comparison of cell adhesion using CELLAZIP™ and Poly-D-Lysine
pre-coated plates
Cell detachment during staining is a common source of lost image data and assay rework. This application note compares cell adhesion performance between CELLAZIP™ pre-coated 96-well plates and a competitor’s Poly-D-Lysine pre-coated plates using HEK293 cells and F-actin imaging on the Yokogawa CQ1.
Key findings:
- PDL-coated competitor plates showed visible cell detachment in the center of the well during the staining process
- CELLAZIP™ plates showed no detachment under identical conditions
- Results indicate superior cell adhesion with Zeon’s proprietary ZIP-coating
- CELLAZIP™ plates can be stored at room temperature for up to 12 months before use
